        • What is the Annual Catholic Appeal?

The Catholic Church here in Eastern Washington is home to communities of many dedicated lay people, committed volunteers, and hardworking priests, deacons, and religious orders. By supporting the Annual Catholic Appeal, you are showing your support for the works of our diocese – and you are strengthening our faith as the body of Christ.

It’s through these ministries and services that we continue the work and mission of the Catholic Church in Eastern Washington. The support of each one of us is essential for the realization of our diocesan mission. Please prayerfully consider a gift to the Annual Catholic Appeal. Your support will help us continue the vital ministries of our Church in Eastern Washington that Christ himself is calling us to do.

How does the Annual Appeal differ from my parish stewardship giving?

          Annual Catholic Appeal

          • Occurs in the Fall of each year
          • Supports the ministries and services throughout Eastern Washington
          • Pledge to the Diocese
          • Donations processed through Diocese

          Parish Tithing

          • Occurs weekly at Mass throughout the year
          • Provides parish ordinary income
          • Supports the ministries and services at your local parish
          • Donations processed through the parish
          • What Ministries does my gift support?

Your gift supports the direct ministries of the Bishop’s office.  These include the Offices of Evangelization, Catholic Education, Communcations, Tribunal, Stewardship/Development, and Vocations.

Your gift also helps the Bishop support the following ministries: campus ministry, prison ministry, respect life ministry, and hispanic ministry.

          How does my Parish benefit?

Parishes are direct recipients of the ministries and services supported by the Annual Catholic Appeal. In addition, any money received and exceeding the parish assigned goal is returned through a rebate to your parish.

How much should I give to the Annual Appeal?

Every gift is important in supporting the Bishop and the diocesan ministries. Not everyone can make the same size gift. However, everyone can make the same size sacrifice - a contribution that truly reflects gratitude for our Catholic Faith and a willingness to support Bishop Daly and his ministries.
