Tolton: From Slave to Priest - A Theater Production - Walla Walla

The nationally touring theater production of Tolton will be premiering in the Diocese of Spokane Jan 26-30. The production is about black historic figure Augustus Tolton who defied the racial prejudice of his time to escape slavery and become the first black priest in the United States. His story is one of courage, perseverance, and grace. He is an unsung hero and soon to be saint on his way to canonization. The show stars Jim Coleman as Tolton. Jim has appeared in Ant Man, Dolphin Tale, and the Quad. An incredible cast accompanies him on screen with inspiring voices, humor, and compelling performances.
