Pornography. Often dismissed as merely a harmless example of 'boys being boys,' the truth is that it is far more toxic than that. Not only does the addiction afflict both men
and women, but also an increasingly youthful population, with children well under ten being exposed. The addictive effects are comparable to hard drugs. It is not surprising then that pornography damages brain chemistry, destroys relationships, stunts sexuality, and contributes directly to the rise of sexual abuse and human trafficking. Fortunately, this new drug is not going unchallenged. On Feb. 23rd, the Catholic Medical Association, in collaboration with Gonzaga University, will be hosting the
Conference on Pornography: the New Drug. There, leading voices in the fight against sexual addiction and human trafficking will be speaking in depth on the tragic effects of pornography and on how we can protect ourselves and our children from this epidemic. Seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your places in advance. You may follow
