On the feast day of newly canonized St. Oscar Romero, March 24, Bishop Daly joined the parish community of St. Ann for Sunday Mass. He blessed an icon of St. Oscar Romero and joined the parishioners for a Salvadoran breakfast. “It was a wonderful celebration,” said Elizabeth Menzies-Lang. The Parish of St. Ann has long had a devotion to Oscar Romero, both for his teachings on social justice and his steadfast defense of his people and the Gospel during a time of civil war in El Salvador.
